I was very surprised when I received a total unexpected package in the mail a few days before Christmas from my lovely editor, Beth Sweet, from Lark Crafts. I was stunned to open it to find an advance copy of my book, Adventures in Pompom Land! Oh my goodness it looks so cute! Breathlessly, I eagerly turned each page to view the beautiful pictures. I am so thrilled with how it turned out! To have a dream realized is such an amazing feeling! I thank all of my wonderful friends and family that helped along the way. ReplyDeleteI just bought your book and I almost came to tears with all the cuteness. I've made yarn pom poms for so long but never knew what else to do with them besides topping my beanie hats and making pom pom garlands. I didn't have to think twice about getting this book and totally happy I did. I do have a few small gripes about some missing details like how to make your pom poms so tight and neatly compact like the pom pom on the Bluebird's head. But I've made enough pom poms in my Life to kinda have a general idea on how to do that. One tip I have is while you're shaping your pom poms if you roll the pom pom in your hand like you would if you were rolling dough/clay into a ball it helps to compact the pom pom and fluff up puffier pom poms. I Love this book and I hope you'll create more wonderful books like this one.
